SCHNITT + AOI YAMAGUCHI The collaboration between SCHNITT (Marco Monfardini and Amelie Duchow) and Japanese calligrapher Aoi Yamaguchi brings together electronic sound, moving image and the art of Shodō. Exploring the affinities between sonic and graphic expression, the trio investigates rhythm, balance, presence and absence, connecting contemporary digital practices with the centuries-old tradition of Japanese calligraphy. Their shared approach reveals points of convergence between human gesture and technological processes, sound and sign.
