DAZE
is the new project of Italian composer, musician and producer Gabriele Gai.
For
more
than
three
decades,
his
work
has
unfolded
across
electronic
music,
composition
and
record
production,
tracing
a
path
through
ambient,
dub,
film
scoring
and
experimental
sound.
Over
the
years
he
has
collaborated
with
artists
including
Steven
Brown,
Mad
Professor,
Lee
"Scratch"
Perry,
Ultramarine
and
members
of
Tuxedo
Moon,
releasing
music
on
both
Italian
and
international labels.
With
Bushcraft
,
he
opens
a
new
chapter
in
in
his
exploration
of
sound:
a
more
distilled
musical
language
where
electronics,
acoustic
instruments
and
spoken
voices
coexist
in
a
carefully
balanced
space.
Built
around
detail,
rhythm
and
the
perception
of
time,
his
compositions treat sound as a narrative material.
Bushcraft
is the first album released under this new moniker.

With
Bushcraft,
Gabriele
Gai
opens
a
new
chapter
in
his
artistic
journey
and,
for
the
first
time, releases his work on Sync under the moniker DAZE.
Bushcraft
begins
as
an
act
of
listening.
A
collection
of
compositions
where
rhythm,
space
and memory intertwine naturally, allowing sound to unfold without seeking a definitive form.
Electronics
coexist
with
granular
textures
and
a
restrained
compositional
language.
The
pulse
does
not
drive
the
music;
it
accompanies
it.
Every
element
finds
its
own
pace,
every
silence retains its own weight.
Three
spoken
voices
move
through
the
album,
they
do
not
tell
a
story,
nor
do
they
ask
to
be
fully
understood.
They
appear
as
presences:
fragments
of
memory,
passing
thoughts,
sonic
material alongside synthesisers, piano and reverberation.
Rather

marking

change
of

Bushcraft
